Bihar became the first state in India to have separate web page for

every city and village in the state on its website www.BrandBihar.com (www.brandbharat.com)

Bihar became the first state in India to have separate web page for every city and village in the state on its website www.brandbharat.com, launched in 2009. It also gives information on the number of Blocks and Panchayats in each district. Altogether there are more than 1,05,459 web pages, including 53,974 pages covering each city and village. The site, an attempt to promote Bihar as a brand, has accurate and detailed information on almost every topic related to the history, geography, culture and politics of the state. The home page appearing in a combination of English and Hindi content also provides the option of reading it in 12 foreign languages. The team behind the successful project comprised Utpal Kumar, Prabhat Kumar and Saurabh Kumar.
